Real Music Thursday: Bobby Caldwell

Hello Readers,

I’ve been so busy at work that I forgot that I had a life and a blog.  I worked for 8 hours today and then came and worked for 4 more hours.  Boo!!!

Without further delay, today’s Real Music Thursday is a nice tune from Bobby Caldwell.  Most people know his song “What You Wont Do For Love,”  but he has some other good jazzy type songs like “Open Your Eyes.”  If the beat/lyrics sounds familiar, Common sampled it for his song “The Light.”

Mercury is in retrograde

Mercury is playing havoc with me.  I’m tired.  I cannot concentrate.  I forget somethings and become obsessive about others.  A few days ago, at the local mixing bowl, I got on to the wrong interstate to go to work.  Little things are just frazzling me and I completely out of sorts.  I just want to lock out the world and get some peace.

Mother Nature, you wily vixen

I’m tired of the cold.  I’m tired of the snow.  Yes, snow is pretty and I can go outside and take great winter photos, but I live in the South.  Sure, they plow; but things essentially shut down for a few days because the suburban roads remain treacherous well after the storm has ended.

We’re expecting to get 9 to 12 inches of snow for this latest storm.  There are already reports of thundersnow 30 miles south of me.

Boo! Just boo!

Happy Birthday To Me!

It’s a celebration!  I’m 32 today.   I had a nice dinner with my friends last night and thanks to all that were able to come out.   It was fun.  Shrimp rolls, y’all.

My family called to wish me well and now I’m just enjoying the rest of my peaceful day.

A Glorious Month has begun

Top o’ the afternoon to ye, lads and lassies,

It is a new month and it is a great month, because my birthday is in a few days.  Team Aquarius, y’all. Mother Nature continues to play games with the weather and it is wrecking my sinuses, but I’m still going out today.  It’s 45 degrees today when it was just 16 a few days ago.

So as a part of my continued push to get healthier, my first birthday splurge to myself was a Fitbit Force Wireless Activity + Sleep Wristband tracker.  (Side note: JJ is a good-bad influence!) I used it the first time last night and I’m apparently a restless sleeper.  Hmm.

The Fitbit Force will be great for the gym.  I never write down my numbers, my weight, my reps, etc.  I always mean to, but I never do.  This will do all of that for me and sync it to my phone and computer. Yay! I’m off to the gym.
